Community

The foundation upon which we build well-rounded individuals.

Community is an important value at Mornington Secondary College – it’s at the heart of everything we do. Our strong community is the foundation upon which we build well-rounded individuals.

We work together to strive for excellence, and we’re proud of the great achievements and contributions our students have made within the local community.

Community Initiatives

Drum and Flag Corps

The Mornington Secondary College Drum and Flag Corps is famous among the local community. The group participates in the annual Mornington Anzac Day march, as well as a variety of other commemorative events. The 40 member strong drum corps is also invited to play at local primary schools and community venues.

Community Relationships

Mornington Secondary College has, and continues to foster, strong working relationships with local community groups such as the Rotary Club of Mornington and the Mornington Lions Club. Students work with club members on joint initiatives like the annual Mornington Art Show.

Anzac Day ceremony with the Mornington RSL

Our College Captains are honoured to speak at the annual Anzac Day ceremony hosted by the Mornington RSL. Students participate by laying a wreath and joining the march. Community leaders are also invited to attend the College’s own ANZAC Day commemorations.
