VM Market Day

26th August 2025

Last Updated: 15th October 2026

Vocational Major (VM) students ran a Market Day during recess and lunchtime on Tuesday 26th August 2025, raising funds for the school’s chosen charity – ‘Home Ground’.

Home Ground is an organisation that was created with a vision to ‘champion the strengths of the local community’.  They aim to bridge the gap between unemployed youth within the region providing an opportunity to pursue a career in the hospitality industry.

Home Ground is a youth training cafe providing on-the-job training and employment pathways for young people in our community.  All proceeds will be donated to Home Ground to provide these Traineeships and skills that will gain future employment in the hospitality sector.

We would like to thank the following local businesses for their generous donations and support of our Vocational Major Market Day Fundraiser; Linden’s Butchers, Endota Spa, Johnny Ripe, Sunrise Sessions, Office Works, Priceline Chemist, Chemist Warehouse, Amcal Chemist, Luup, Ideas by the Bay, Peninsula Service Centre, Happy Herb Company, Heritage Balnarring, Porter Green, Kiwi House, Hairhouse Warehouse, Stay Tray, Bunnings, Mother Mary, Mumma Made, Leisure Pets, Deco Heaven, JB Hi-Fi, Southern Plants, Coles (Mornington Central and Mornington Tyabb Rd), Bakers Delight, Baker Boys, Zen Living, Samo’s Souvlaki Kitchen & Woolworths.

Several of these businesses contribute to our Market Day Fundraiser every year and we are extremely grateful. It is these contributions which help to make the day a great success and demonstrates the meaning of community.

And of course, congratulations to the Year 12 VCE VM students of 2025! They excelled and surpassed our already high expectations of them.
